"She was sorry for her loneliness. Benny looked at his wife like she was a stranger to him, like she was somebody who wondered off in the street."

I chose The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis. This book gives a interesting glimpse into Hattie's family and life. The perspectives are all engaging, and I enjoyed it although I was hesitant to read historical fiction. An adult book I enjoyed and which reminds me to get to some of the many adult books on my TBR list. Have a Great Weekend!!!!

Since I enjoy historical fiction, I'm sure I'd like The Twelve Tribes of Hattie. I'm already wondering why she's lonely and why she feels apologetic about that.
My Friday post features a legal thriller: BODILY HARM.

I've not read a historical fiction book in some time. I used to eat them up.
Nothing could be worse than your spouse not really seeing you anymore. Sounds sad.

Such a sad moment...
Bet it's a good read though. Those moments can have such impacts.
Happy weekend!

That's quite a description the author paints! You an really feel Hattie's loneliness. I hope the rest of this book is as good!
