Top Ten Authors I've Read The Most Books From

August 11, 2015
Top Ten Tuesday, IntoriLex, Broke and Bookish, Blogger Meme
Compiling the list of authors I read the most books from was hard for me to do. I  don't read alot of books by the same authors, except for series.  Before I joined Goodreads I read alot of Steven King and Toni Morrison. Some authors I didn't super enjoy, but they're on the list because of series I stuck through.

1.Toni Morrison
Song of Solomon, Sula, Toni Morrison, InToriLex
She is an amazing author, who I look up to. She writes about the African American experience through history, in fiction. Morrison's symbolism and prose, inspired my own writing and reading. Definitely Check her out.

2.Stephen King
Stephen King, The Gunslinger, InToriLex
I was first introduced to Stephen King through The Gunslinger series which I gobbled up in college. He's amazing and if you read any of his books you will agree.

3.Margaret Atwood
Handmaids Tale, Oryx and Crake, InToriLex
I loved the Handmaid's Tale and read books like it because how much I loved it. All of her writing is great and although I haven't read as much of it as I want to. I have read Oryx and Crake and plan to read more.

4. Rick Yancey
The Infinite Sea, The Fifth Wave, InToriLex
I am in Love with The Fifth Wave and The Infinite Sea, definitely check out the series for a dark sci-fi dystopian with amazing characters. He's a great writer who can really tug at my heart strings. I want to continue the series and read much more by him.

5. Neal Shusterman
Unwind Dystology, Neal Shusterman, InToriLex, Bruiser
The Unwind Dystology is a epic YA universe where parents can have their kids unwound at the age of 16, so their body parts can be used by other. I have also read and enjoyed Bruiser by him a He tends to use underdog, diverse and relateable characters.

6. Alexandra Bracken
Alexandra Bracken, The Darkest Minds Series, InToriLex
I started off really liking Bracken and read through the entire Darkest Mind Series. However as the series went along I was disappointed by filler. I hope her writing gets better with more releases, but my need to finish the series is the only reason I've read so much of her.

7. Marissa Meyer
Marissa Meyer, Lunar Chronicles, Cinder, Scarlet, InToriLex
The Lunar Chronicles is lots of fun, its a fairy tale retelling sci-fi, action packed tale. Cinder is about a cyborg caught in intergalactic politics. I haven't gotten to read past Scarlet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it, because she is awesome.

8. Lauren DeStefano
I really loved Wither and believed this series had a lot of potential. However after thinking back on it after reading many better novels, the series as a whole was disappointing after the first book. I did complete the series, but unfortunately have been turned off, by the author since.

10. Brian K Vaughan
I have really gotten in to graphic novels and comics after reading Saga. If your looking to branch off into comics this is a great place to start. It is funny, for adults, sentimental and bizarre.

Let me know if you read anything from the authors mentioned below!

I am reading Marissa Meyer now. So far I am really liking Cinder. I have read some Stephen King but not the others. Toni Morrison is one I really want to read but am a little intimidated and I don't know why!! Great list!

Margaret Atwood is on my list and I'm so glad to see her on other people's lists too! I've never read anything by Toni Morrison - I really should fix that.

I love the new design, or at least it's kind of new to me. OMG It's so cute! I also read the Saga series and love it but I wouldn't consider him the author I have read the most from. I wish I read more from Stephen King because I love horror! Horror is my second favorite genre after fantasy, of course. Loved this post just awesome!

There are some authors I've never read anything by in your post, even if it's probably a shame. I really liked The 5th Wave back in the day, but The Infinite Sea didn't live up to my expectation unfortunately. I love both Marissa Meyer (I think I've been waiting for Winter FOREVER) and Alexandra Bracken (I'm really looking forward to her upcoming releases!). Great post! Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog.

Great list of authors! I'm embarrassed to say that I've yet to finish a Toni Morrison book. I really must do so soon.

I've read quite a few of Stephen King's books and own quite a few I haven't read yet! I own The 5th Wave but haven't had a chance to read it yet but I've heard good things about it! I want to read the Darkest Mind series, it's been on my list for a while and I keep meaning to read it. I own the first book in Kindle format. Hopefully soon!

I just got my copies of the Lunar Chronicles back from my friend so I am determined that I will actually be reading them very soon! Same for Rick Yancey whose books have been sat on my bookcase eagerly waiting to be read! I read the Handmaids Tale in college which I really enjoyed, but have never read any more Margaret Atwood since. Happy Reading! :) Hannah @ Broc's Bookcase

Thanks for stopping by my TTT!

I've really enjoyed The Lunar Chronicles so far. I still have to get around to reading the most recent book, but I'm sure I'll like it, too.

Neal Shusterman and Lauren DeStefano are on my TBR list. Maybe I'll get to them soon.

And I've yet to read any Stephen King books. I would like to, but I wouldn't know a good place to start.

I still haven't read anything by Alexandra Bracken. I keep meaning to, but I just haven't gotten to it. She's on my extended TBR, though.
